I realize that at its core blogging is a self-indulgent ritual. It’s about taking all of the random kooky things that kind of make you tick and playing around with them each day. It’s about tapping into random inspirations that may or may not be of interest to anyone out there.
Lately, something interesting has happened. I’ve finally hit the 25,000 mark and my search engines are spinning. People are checking out all kinds of old posts that I don’t even remember writing which brings me to rereading them myself. It’s like visiting with old friends.
One of the biggest hits on the blog is the Cow Shit Corner Award. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was to get the above Christmas card in the mail! Perfect, sending me a Cow Shit Corner winter card is simply perfect. Laura, you know me so well.
I started this blog as a social media experiment, but it’s kind of turned into a living breathing thing. How about that? I wonder what will happen this year? I’m kind of excited to find out.

Hey, thanks!
Love it!! What a perfect card.
Wow! Congradulations! A lot of people love your blog, me too!
Thanks PJ! I’ve been thinking of you. The idea of your retreat is starting to seem appealing….the quiet that is!
There aren’t many people I would read or want to read day after day, but you are one I look forward to. You make me laugh and ponder life. You treat my eyes and my inner ears. Thanks, Julie. Keep writing!
“Treat my eyes and inner ears!” Love that. Thanks so much, it means a lot.
I am in infrequent commenter, but I do chuckle through each post.
Crap, typo in my comment. “I am AN”
