Aquinnah! One of the most beautiful spots in all of New England. Seriously, notice the contrast between the deep blue sky and the rich greens of the vegetation. It almost makes me want to paint something. Okay, just kidding. Nobody wants to see that.
Can’t you see why the native Wampanoag tribe made this their home?
Speaking of, did I ever mention to you all that I wrote a fictional member of this tribe as a character in the young adult novel that I’m trying to sell? Cross your fingers folks because you are going to love him. He’s part of a four hundred year old love triangle that has direct ties to early American history, and is not only a good listener but can birth babies on the floor of the woods (in case you were wondering!).
I love to make characters that are seeped in personal history. And I must say, he would have fit into this scene perfectly. I can just imagine him serving fried clams with a smile at the snack shack on the hill. He’d kill it on the tips.

We love Gay Head. Like the book reference, too. Brought back the pictures I had in my head while reading.
