Recovery

Hello all, its the one-handed-typing-wonder here.  Yes, I survived surgery.  I’ll spare you the ugly details, but mention the good.  A single pin is holding my shattered bones together and a comfy cast is forcing no movement as pain meds dull the senses.  It’s wonderful, modern medicine.  I can’t help thinking about where I’d be if I lived a hundred years ago.  Certainly not in this good of a shape.  We’re so lucky.

Thanks to all who checked in, kept me from starving, took care of my kids, and made me laugh.  You’ve been a welcome escape from really horrible tv and my own thoughts.

Happy Weekend.  Go play in the snow.  Take an extra ski run for me.  Enjoy…

  1. I guess I’m a few blogs behind. I just caught up. Crazy stuff, but glad to hear all is going well. You type just as well with one hand, btw. It looks exactly the same :)

  2. Glad to hear you survived the surgery and hooray for pain meds.

  3. Good grief what an ordeal. So sorry you’ve been having a hard time of it. Sending you good wishes for a speedy recovery. Here, maybe you’ll enjoy this illustrator’s incredible Alice in Wonderland imagery while you’re resting up. You’re already hopped up on pain meds after all, will probably make the visuals even better. ;) Kidding aside, Maggie Taylor’s work is lovely. Perhaps looking at something beautiful will help distract you. Take care Julie.
