Snow…. just a dusting. A cold, wintery blast at the start of the holiday season.
Can you believe it? Softly falling snow to get you in the holiday mood.
Bundled up, racing through the woods.
Stopping only to discover, splashes of green nestled in the stark white. The simplest things can create wonder, spark the imagination. I’m wondering if you’ve taken to the woods lately? It’s worth the trip.
Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. ~Osho
Something nice about first snowfalls. Pretty to look at! but glad it’s in Maine. I don’t like temps under 80! we are chilly in CA this week. Kathy’s kind of weather tho-50-60. At least the sun is shining.
Love, love snow.
White flakes drifting down.
I am NOT ready for snow.
Shovels, snowpants, boots…
Ahhh, a Snow Grinch! That’s not very Maine-ish, Maine Mom.
perhaps I should change my name to Snow Grinch?
I do love snow, I am just not ready. Maybe in a few weeks, as Christmas draws near. Until then…
Amen, Osho. Ready or not, snow will come.
Dust of Snow by Robert Frost
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued. And thank you, Robert Frost! You, too, Julie.
Frost! I never thought of his name and his relationships to well, frost. Perfect.
