Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are all up and at ‘em ready for a day of food, fun, and reflection.  I woke up at six fifteen with my daughter standing over me giving a list of all the things she’s thankful for.  At first, this was a tad jarring, but once her scratchy voice washed over me saying things like, “I’m thankful for food.  I’m thankful for dogs.  I’m thankful for this house…” You get the picture.  What a rocken’ way to start the holiday.

My novel (currently in it’s seventh rewrite) is totally based on those vixens the Puritans, and today in honor of them, I’m just going to post some pictures that they, in particular, might enjoy-

An old meeting house.

A river at the end of summer.

A sturdy door, simple, yet grand.

Hay in the field

Stone Walls…

My list of things that I’m thankful for is long and possibly boring, but rest assured those things will be on my mind today.  May your day be full of feasting and comfort.  Rise your glasses to those Puritans and Native Americans who came together for a brief moment in peace and maybe surprise people with your thankful list.
